We accept and publish the following:

We do not publish previously published pieces, but we do accept simultaneous submissions. If your piece is accepted elsewhere, please email us as soon as possible. If you reprint your work after publishing in The Garden Literary, we ask that you credit our publication as where your piece first appeared.Submission standards:
All work must be original to you and not plagiarized in any manner. We do not accept work generated by artificial intelligence. Pieces should not contain hate speech. If pieces contain extreme violence, sexual content, or other explicit themes, please provide content and trigger warnings.If you submit work written in a different language, we ask that you also provide an English translation. Both versions will be published.Writing specifications:
Nonfiction prose: 1000 to 1500 words in length, 12 pt. serif or sans serif font, double-spaced, .doc or .docx format.Poems: up to 5 per submission, all 25 lines or less, single-spaced, .doc or .docx format.Fictional prose: 1500 to 2000 words in length, 12 pt. serif or sans serif font, double-spaced, .doc or .docx format.Short stories: up to 5 per submission, 1500 to 2000 words each, 12 pt. serif or sans serif font, double-spaced, .doc or .docx format.Visual media specifications:
All submitted photography and artwork should be high-resolution in JPEG or PNG format.
